Immunisation Status CertificateChildren starting school are exposed to a large number of people and to a range of potentially dangerous diseases. Immunisation is a proven and safe way to be protected against diseases that cause serious illness and sometimes death. Enrolling in primary school is a good time to check your child's immunisations are up to date. By law, all parents must provide an immunisation status certificate when they enrol their child in an early childhood service. This is a document that shows your child's immunisation status. It is automatically provided to you from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register or from MyGov. Alternatively, you can arrange to get a certificate for your child by contacting the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 (Medicare Australia) or your doctor or local council.
