Orientation / Induction5.2 ORIENTATION / INDUCTION Upon appointment at Viewbank Early Childhood Centre educators and staff MUST undertake a day of orientation and induction prior to their tenure, to familiarise themselves with the Centre’s educators, staff, children, routines, procedures and practices. During orientation team members will be required to complete employee profiles and other documents associated with their tenure at VBECC. At the beginning of their employment, educators are shown through the Centre by the Centre’s Nominated Supervisor/Team Leader and given a copy of the Centre’s Manual and Values document. Educators and staff are expected to read through the Manual and familiarise themselves with all Centre Policies and Procedures within the first week. Regular daily meetings for the first 13 weeks with the Management Team are encouraged to gain vital feedback on the employee’s wellbeing. It is the responsibility of the Director to hire team members. The centre adheres to the National regulations for educator/child ratios, however these are taken as a minimum requirement.
